Lech PASB, an important Arabian foal, sold in 1985 for $250,000.as a yearling. The pure Polish stallion had a brief, yet promising career and sired dozens of foals before a complicated custody battle left him without proper registration, abandoned and starving. Lech was 'rediscovered' and rehabilitated in Florida by Nancy and Alan Ryan
(Ryan Arabians) in Wesley Chapel, Florida. Tough detective work and the aid of experts helped the Ryan's get Lech's paperwork back in order. Photographer Suzanne Sturgill of Bradenton, Florida rediscovered Lech's beauty in a breathtaking still life photograph. The Arabian Horse Association of America rediscovered Lech once again through Sturgill's photograph, and used it in their national ad campaign starting in February of 2005. Then, artist Susan Abma of Leduc, Alberta, Canada, rediscovered Lech's beauty (based on Sturgill's photograph) in this exciting and impactful oil painting. And now, Lech is once again being 'rediscovered' by you.
